SUMMARY:Corroborating Evidence for Child Abuse Investigations by CornerHouse
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nChild abuse disclosures and information provided by the child during the forensic interview are where the investigation truly begins. Identifying corroborating details from the interview is imperative to the child abuse investigation. Engaging the multidisciplinary team to understand their roles and goals during and after the interview will enhance and strengthen the investigation. Attending this training as an MDT may be very helpful but is not mandatory. This training will take place online via video conferencing. \nTopics covered in this session will include\n\nRecognize information and details that can and need to be corroborated.\nShare examples from child statements/interviews that lead to additional evidence.\nExplore the roles of each member of the MDT and how the investigation continues after the forensic interview.\nProvide an opportunity to network and share best practices.\n\nIf you are located in Minnesota and you are a first responder or Multi-Disciplinary Team member\, you may qualify for scholarship funds for this session.
