SUMMARY:Justice Clearinghouse: Safeguarding Our Children from Human Trafficking
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nAn estimated 50 million people worldwide are victims of human trafficking. In the United States alone\, approximately 400\,000 individuals are exploited through sex trafficking\, labor trafficking\, or domestic servitude. Traffickers earn an estimated $240 billion annually\, more than the annual revenue of major Fortune 500 companies such as Apple\, Amazon\, Disney\, General Motors\, and Ford. \nStatistically\, one in four trafficking victims is a child. This webinar explores how traffickers target and exploit the vulnerabilities of youth and what can be done to prevent childhood exploitation. Topics include digital exploitation as well as traditional risk factors such as peer pressure\, substance use\, foster care involvement\, familial abuse\, and contact with the juvenile justice system. \nRegister Through Justice Clearinghouse\n

SUMMARY:Justice Clearinghouse | When Violence Goes Digital: Understanding Cyber Assault and the New Frontier of Abuse
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nAs our lives become increasingly connected\, technology\, social media\, and artificial intelligence have created new and devastating ways to cause harm. This webinar explores the emerging and often misunderstood issue of cyber assault\, the use of digital platforms and tools to harass\, humiliate\, or threaten individuals. \nFrom the non-consensual sharing of intimate images (“revenge porn”) to AI-generated deepfakes\, digital stalking\, impersonation\, and fabricated conversations\, these acts can have life-altering impacts on victims. Yet accountability remains elusive: jurisdiction crosses borders\, anonymity shields offenders\, and law enforcement often lacks the training or legal framework to pursue justice. \nLearning Objectives\n\nThe many forms of cyber assault and their real-world consequences\nhow AI and social media amplify opportunities for abuse\nWhy traditional legal and investigative systems struggle to respond\nEmerging strategies for prevention\, policy\, and victim support\n\nRegister Through Justice Clearinghouse\n
