SUMMARY:NCA The Care Process Model Screener Training
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nThe Child Traumatic Stress Care Process Model (CPM) was developed through a collaboration of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and the Center for Safe and Healthy Families at Intermountain Healthcare’s Primary Children’s Hospital.  CPM is a brief screening and response protocol guiding the identification of\, and response to\, traumatic stress in children seen in healthcare and other pediatric settings\, such as primary care clinics and Children’s Advocacy Centers.  CPM uses several different tools to screen for trauma exposure (recent and remote events)\, suicidality and self-harm\, and traumatic stress symptoms. \nPrerequisite Training\n2-hour on-demand CPM training: CPM – Utah PIPS \nRegister through NCA Mental Health Hub\n

DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nThe AIMWell training equips Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs)\, Victim Advocates\, and multidisciplinary team members with practical tools to ensure more children access and complete the mental health services needed for healing. Participants begin with a 4-hour training on the Care Process Model (CPM) Screener—a brief\, standardized tool that helps VAs identify trauma symptoms\, safety concerns\, and mental health needs\, while guiding meaningful conversations with caregivers. Trainees then complete four pre-recorded webinars and join four weekly live calls focused on strengthening collaboration\, improving family engagement\, streamlining mental health processes\, and implementing evidence-based treatment pathways aligned with NCA standards. During the program\, participants are expected to use the CPM Screener with families in real time. \nRegister through NCA Mental Health Hub\n

SUMMARY:NCA | CFTSI Informational Call
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nSenior CAC leaders and clinicians are encouraged to attend this call to learn about CFTSI\, how it is delivered and the evidence-base that has shown that 73% of children are less likely to meet partial or full criteria for PTSD after CFTSI. CFTSI is delivered in 5-8 sessions soon after the forensic interview and has been shown to help CACs shorten client length of stay\, reduce waiting lists\, and allow CACs to serve more children. \nRegister through NCA Mental Health Hub\n

SUMMARY:NCA | Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nThe CFTSI is a brief (5-8 session)\, evidence-based early intervention for children 7 to 18 years old\, young children ages 3-6 and children in foster care\, that reduces traumatic stress reactions and the onset of PTSD. CFTSI is implemented within 30-45 days following a traumatic event or the disclosure of physical or sexual abuse. CFTSI is used successfully with children with extensive trauma histories. In addition\, CFTSI can act as a seamless introduction to longer-term treatment and other mental health interventions when necessary. The goal of CFTSI is to decrease post-traumatic stress reactions and onset of PTSD by increasing communication and family support. As an evidence-based early intervention\, CFTSI fills the gap between standardized acute interventions and evidence-based\, longer-term treatments required to deal with enduring posttraumatic reactions. \nCFTSI Training Requirements\n\nAttend all sessions of the virtual interactive CFTSI training with your camera on.\nParticipate in at least 11 of 14 one-hour consultation calls over 7–8 months.\nActively implement CFTSI with clients throughout the consultation period. (If you’ll be on leave at any point during your consultation call period\, contact us before registering.)\nComplete at least 3 CFTSI cases before the end of the consultation period.\nPresent at least two CFTSI cases during consultation calls.\nCollect pre- and post-CFTSI outcome data for children and caregivers to enter into NCA’s upcoming CFTSI Data System.\n\nRegister through NCA Mental Health Hub\nRegister by Friday\, September 25\, 2026
