SUMMARY:RCAC MDT Facilitator Peer Forums
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nThe Regional Children’s Advocay Centers (RCAC) is hosting a virutal MDT Facilitator Peer Forum. This forum is for child abuse professionals who serve in the role of MDT Facilitator for a children’s advocacy center. \nThis forum starts in a large-group format to review a topic relevant to MDT facilitation\, and then participants move to Zoom breakout rooms for small-group discussions and resource sharing. The meeting closes with all participants engaging in a Q&A session with Regional CAC staff. \nRegister through RCAC\nRegistration is free and is open nationally to individuals with a primary or shared responsibility for facilitating the success of the MDT. Individuals may attend multiple forums.

This training will cover an overview of the MDT facilitator’s role in the CAC/MDT model\, an introduction to team development and skills for building trust and safety on the team. \nThis virtual training is intended to fulfill the core training for MDT facilitators required in the National Standards of Accreditation for Children’s Advocacy Centers. \nLearning Objectives\n\nIdentify the strengths and challenges of the CAC/MDT model.\nUnderstand the importance of the MDT facilitator role on MDTs.\nIdentify core responsibilities of the MDT facilitator role.\nUnderstand the importance of safety and trust on a team.\nApply strategies for building trust and psychological safety to their MDT.\n\nRegister through RCAC\nRegistration deadline is Friday\, May 8\, 2026.
