DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nThis workshop will explore the effective use of the forensic interview process when responding to technology facilitated crimes against children. In addition to building awareness about the current state of the technological landscape\, this workshop will address misconceptions about the nature and prevalence of technology-facilitated child abuse. This workshop will equip forensic interviewers and investigative MDTs with tools\, skills and considerations to better their interview process preparation\, increase the efficacy of the forensic interview and improve judicial outcomes. \nLearning Objectives\n\nProvide an overview of the dynamics involved in technology-facilitated child abuse.\nEquip teams with a structure for pre-interview preparation.\nProvide interviewers with sample language\, tools\, techniques and suggestions for conducting forensic interviews in cases involving technology-facilitated child abuse.\n\nRegister via Zero Abuse Project\nTo Pay by Credit/Debit Card\nTo pay using a credit card\, please select PayPal as your payment method – we use PayPal’s system to handle our credit card payments\, but you do not need a PayPal account to use this payment method. DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nStudies have shown that adverse childhood experiences and traumatic events can have a lasting\, negative impact on a person’s health and well-being. This training provides guidance on how to prepare children and families for our process including the difference between minimal facts/field interviews and forensic interviews\, orienting messages and other current challenges. \nLearning Objectives\n\nDefine the difference between a FIRST response/minimal facts interview and a forensic interview.
