SUMMARY:IVAT | Burn Out vs. Burning Questions: Implications to Guide Intimate Partner Violence Treatment
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nWorking in the field of domestic violence is an intense area of therapy or advocacy\, that requires often hearing disturbing information\, disseminating such information and the onus to demonstrate creating not just change\, but safety.  As well\, unlike other therapists in some areas\, those working with IPV\, may sometimes work with populations that do not wish to see them\, lack motivation or responsibility\, or be at risk of hurting others or being harmed.  What complicates that work is that best efforts may in fact not succeed or efforts at helping may be hampered by other systems and factors beyond one’s control or power of influence.  The ability to do this work\, refreshed and effectively with healthy attitudes and compassion\, requires professionals to be mindful of\, in fact prepared for the inevitable signs of burn out or fatigue.  To have healthy conversations that generate useful and practical remedies to that path is vital. \nLearning Objectives\n\nParticipants will be able to identify their won hot buttons or triggers\, and how that may result in their own burn out.\nParticipants will be able to name effective strategies for dealing with and potentially avoiding burn out.\nParticipant will have the opportunity to identify repeating themes and stresses arising from structural barriers\, and develop strategies for meeting these roadblocks.\n\nRegister through IVAT\n

SUMMARY:MACMH | Changing the Narrative on Mental Health and Suicide
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nTalking about mental health and suicide can be uncomfortable and uncertain topics that bring up different perspectives\, feelings\, beliefs\, and attitudes in people. Changing the Narrative on Mental Health and Suicide is a conversation that empowers participants to change their perceptions of mental health towards hope and resilience.  The presentation will share ways of being intentional in the words we use and ways we talk about mental health and suicide in order to avoid sensationalizing the issue and prevent alienating individuals\, which can cause a decrease in help-seeking behavior\, and to prevent glamorizing suicide.  Healthy conversations about mental health and suicide avoid harmful messages that may increase suicide risk or undermine suicide prevention goals.  By doing this safely\,1. we reduce stigma\, mitigate risks\, promote help seeking\, and respect all individuals. \nRegister Through MACMH

SUMMARY:Justice Clearinghouse | When a Child Murders: Juvenile Parricide and the Hidden History of Family Violence
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nWhen a child murders a parent\, society often recoils in disbelief—and rushes to rationalize. We search for trauma\, neglect\, or coercive control. The default assumption is that the parent must have done something. Abuse is presumed. Victimhood is reassigned. \nAnd yet\, in some chilling cases\, the truth is far more disturbing: these children were not driven by survival but by calculation\, control\, and revenge. \nThis powerful webinar disrupts the traditional narrative of juvenile parricide by exploring cases where no history of abuse was documented: only entitlement\, rage\, and a desire for power or freedom. From Sarah Grace Patrick\, who manipulated her narrative and community before killing her father\, to Colin Griffith\, whose calculated violence shocked an entire neighborhood\, and Nikita Casap\, whose parricide was rooted in control rather than fear—these cases shed light on a lesser-known but critical area of concern for justice professionals. \nThis session confronts some uncomfortable truths: not all juveniles who kill are victims. Some are orchestrators. Some are predators. And some are expert manipulators of the systems designed to protect them. \nLearning Objectives\n\nAnalyze case studies of non-abused juveniles parricide offenders\nUnderstand psychological profiles of control-driven adolescent perpetrators\nExplore legal complexities when victim/perpetrator roles are misassigned\nApply investigative strategies that avoid default assumptions of parental guilt\nRecognize risk indicators of violence unrelated to abuse or trauma\n\nRegister Through Justice Clearinghouse\n

SUMMARY:Justice Clearinghouse | When Helping Hurts: Balancing Community\, Compassion\, and Self-Care
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nJustice professionals\, advocates\, and community responders absorb a tremendous amount of others’ pain\, often without realizing how much it’s affecting them. This webinar explores the realities of burnout\, compassion fatigue\, secondary trauma\, and vicarious trauma\, and how these forms of stress show up in the day-to-day work of people serving trauma-exposed communities. \nAttendees will learn to recognize early “pink flags” that signal stress is building and understand how repeated exposure to suffering can shape decision-making\, boundaries\, and overall well-being. The session also offers practical ways to strengthen sustainability\, accountability\, and team health without relying on self-care as the only solution. Through real-world examples and interactive dialogue\, the training focuses on how to protect empathy while staying grounded\, effective\, and supported in the work. \nLearning Objectives\n\nHow burnout\, compassion fatigue\, secondary trauma\, and vicarious trauma differ\, and how each can appear in trauma-exposed roles\nHow to spot “pink flags” early and understand their impact on judgement\, boundaries\, and performance\nPractical individual and organizational strategies that preserve empathy\, support resilience\, and make the work more sustainable over time\n\nRegister Through Justice Clearinghouse\n

SUMMARY:ZAP | The Sextortion Crisis: What Child Protection Professionals Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\n\n\n\nMost of us were trained to spot grooming as a slow burn. Weeks of trust-building. A predator playing a long game. Sextortion tore that timeline up. \nA teenager can go from a friendly message to a full-blown crisis before dinner. The offender doesn’t need months\, and increasingly doesn’t even need a real photo. With AI\, they can fabricate the “proof” and jump straight to the threat. The weapon was never really the image anyway. It’s the shame. And shame moves faster than any reporting system we’ve built. \nThis session closes the gap between what we learned and what’s actually happening to kids right now. We’ll break down how sextortion works\, why it lands so hard on teens (boys especially\, in the financial wave)\, and why the smartest\, most supported kid in the room still won’t tell you. Think of a child sitting on this secret like someone trying to hold a beach ball underwater. It takes everything they have\, and the second they’re exhausted\, it explodes to the surface. Our job is to be a safe place for that surface to happen. Then we get practical: what a trauma-informed response looks like in the first ten minutes after a disclosure\, the warning signs worth watching\, and prevention messages that survive in a world where “just don’t send anything” is no longer enough. \n\n\n\nRegister through ZAP

SUMMARY:Justice Clearinghouse: Safeguarding Our Children from Human Trafficking
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nAn estimated 50 million people worldwide are victims of human trafficking. In the United States alone\, approximately 400\,000 individuals are exploited through sex trafficking\, labor trafficking\, or domestic servitude. Traffickers earn an estimated $240 billion annually\, more than the annual revenue of major Fortune 500 companies such as Apple\, Amazon\, Disney\, General Motors\, and Ford. \nStatistically\, one in four trafficking victims is a child. This webinar explores how traffickers target and exploit the vulnerabilities of youth and what can be done to prevent childhood exploitation. Topics include digital exploitation as well as traditional risk factors such as peer pressure\, substance use\, foster care involvement\, familial abuse\, and contact with the juvenile justice system. \nRegister Through Justice Clearinghouse\n

SUMMARY:Justice Clearinghouse | When Violence Goes Digital: Understanding Cyber Assault and the New Frontier of Abuse
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\nAs our lives become increasingly connected\, technology\, social media\, and artificial intelligence have created new and devastating ways to cause harm. This webinar explores the emerging and often misunderstood issue of cyber assault\, the use of digital platforms and tools to harass\, humiliate\, or threaten individuals. \nFrom the non-consensual sharing of intimate images (“revenge porn”) to AI-generated deepfakes\, digital stalking\, impersonation\, and fabricated conversations\, these acts can have life-altering impacts on victims. Yet accountability remains elusive: jurisdiction crosses borders\, anonymity shields offenders\, and law enforcement often lacks the training or legal framework to pursue justice. \nLearning Objectives\n\nThe many forms of cyber assault and their real-world consequences\nhow AI and social media amplify opportunities for abuse\nWhy traditional legal and investigative systems struggle to respond\nEmerging strategies for prevention\, policy\, and victim support\n\nRegister Through Justice Clearinghouse\n
