SUMMARY:MN Child Welfare Training Academy | Aligned for Impact: Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration in Child Protection
DESCRIPTION:Training Overview\n\n\nThis is a newly redesigned\, interactive\, no-cost\, in-person gathering designed to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and improve outcomes for children and families. Through facilitated discussions\, peer to peer learning\, and individualized consultation with state and local experts\, participants will identify practical strategies that can be applied within their own multidisciplinary teams\, tailored to their team’s stage of development. \nParticipants will explore principles and best practices for effective teaming\, learn strategies to enhance communication and coordinated decision-making across disciplines\, and examine collaborative approaches that address the complex needs of children and families. The goal is to provide a collaborative and individualized training experience reflective of different applications of MDTs. \n\n\n\n\n\nTeams and topics explored include: \n\nChild protection screening and case review teams\nChild protection multidisciplinary investigative teams\nDomestic violence/sexual assault reponse teams\nSchool partnerships/truancy prevention\nHuman/labor trafficking/Safe Harbor teams\nTribal and county partnerships\nUtilizing teaming and collaboration when responding to family resource needs\, crisis\, pre-natal exposure and substance use\, and case consultation\n\nThese trainings are designed for professionals who work with child protection multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) or collaborative partnerships\, as well as those interested in developing a new team in their community.
