CornerHouse | Understanding the Research: Anatomical Dolls as a New Interviewer

Training Overview

Forensic interviewers, particularly those new to the field or recently trained in the use of anatomical dolls, may struggle with identifying when/how to incorporate anatomical dolls. This webinar aims to provide a better understanding of how anatomical dolls might be used within the forensic interview. From the perspective of a new interviewer who understands the challenges, this webinar will discuss how and when anatomical dolls can be used. This webinar will go over some relevant research pertaining to the topic of when to use anatomical dolls within a forensic interview. This webinar will include a review of some of the research pertaining to the use of anatomical dolls, including considerations of the ways dolls are used in the research and how that might not be reflective of real-world usage. The considerations presented will be from a perspective of general best practices regarding use of anatomical dolls.

This webinar is not intended to be a full training on using anatomical dolls. This webinar is for forensic interviewers and MDT members who maybe have some training in use of dolls and are looking to expand their skills, or for anyone interested in learning about anatomical dolls.
