Zero Abuse Project: Trauma, ACEs, and How They Impact Child Abuse Investigation and Prosecution

Training Overview

To effectively investigate and prosecute child abuse cases, practitioners must understand the impact of trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) on children. This workshop offers suggestions for working with traumatized children in the context of a criminal case, and for developing a holistic approach to addressing victim needs.

Learning Objectives

  1. Articulate key findings from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) studies.
  2. Describe the relevance of trauma dynamics to child abuse investigation and prosecution.
  3. Develop a comprehensive approach to working with child victims in the context of criminal proceedings.

Cancellation Policy

No refunds are allowed. You may transfer your registration to another person for a $25.00 administrative fee.
