APSAC Part 3: Contributions of African American Pioneers in the Field of Child Maltreatment, Past and Present

Training Overview

The purpose of this APSAC chat webinar is to celebrate the accomplishments of African American professionals from the past and present. These individuals have made a significant contribution to our knowledge, understanding and practice in serving abused and neglected children. Our goal is to recognize outstanding African American practitioners, administrators, educators, and researchers that were leaders in the field during the period of the 1970’s to the late 1990’s. This historical lens of child maltreatment will focus on pioneers/leaders across the spectrum of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and educators who reflect the diversity of this field.
