Training Overview

This training is a high-level introduction of the importance of Corroborating Evidence and will examine the critical interplay between corroborating evidence, forensic interviews, investigative techniques, and motion practice in legal proceedings. Participants will gain key insights on how to identify and collect evidence that substantiates existing case elements, understand best practices for conducting forensic interviews that maintain testimonial integrity, and hone skills in drafting and arguing strategic evidentiary motions—all essential components for building and defending compelling legal cases. This is an introductory course with possible deep dives into specific practice areas.

This important training is being offered FREE to MDT members within the state of Minnesota. MDT members include any Child Advocacy Center (CAC) staff, law enforcement/peace officers, Department of Children and Families, attorneys and advocates within a county attorney’ office, medical providers and educators who serve/work with their local Child Advocacy Center.
