Training Overview

Minnesota Children’s Alliance (the Alliance) is excited to host From Outcry to Sentencing: Children in Court, with Amy Russell, MSEd, JD, NCC, Thursday, October 29, 2020 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., via Zoom HealthCare.

This session will discuss the importance of each stage of the investigative process in preparing children for court, and will provide concrete examples of courtroom modifications and child preparation techniques.

1. Participants will understand the importance of preparing children for court

2. Participants will identify specific techniques to prepare children and caregivers for testifying in court

3. Participants will receive concrete examples of courtroom modifications for children

Trainer

Ms. Russell is the Principal Consultant and Trainer with Russell Consulting Specialists, LLC, and an executive director of a Children’s Advocacy Center in the Pacific Northwest. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of child maltreatment. Please join us in deepening our understanding of the work in maltreatment cases.
